Below are several recent video projects we’ve written, produced and directed, ranging from high-style brand pieces to animated TV ads and corporate videos.
TITLE: From Little Things…
ABOUT: Shot in the NSW town of Dubbo, this cinematic mini-doco stars Alicia and Trent West, the owners of T&A Mechanical. The ad (which was cut for TV, cinema and web) charts the West’s business growth – fuelled by talent, dedication and a little bit of Localsearch.
TITLE: Griffith Sports College
CLIENT: Griffith University
ABOUT: Our brief was to produce a new brand video for Griffith University’s Sports College, a unit that supports elite athletes studying at Griffith. The video stars several 2018 Commonwealth Games athletes studying at Griffith University, and is currently in use across social media and at Griffith Sports College events.

ABOUT: Cosmonaut was thrilled to be the only Australian media production company to shoot for Shutterstock’s new premium footage brand, Shutterstock Select. Check out some of our shots in the trailer:
TITLE: Continue to Drive
CLIENT: Motorline BMW
ABOUT: Our director Sam Cleveland wrote and directed the below video, Continue to Drive, while at Burleigh Heads agency Zakazukha. It won a gold award at the Australian Cinematographers Society (Queensland) for DOP Lincoln Williams and was collected by the National Film and Sound Archive.
TITLE: Onya John!
ABOUT: This series of animated ads star Onya John!, a mascot character Cosmonaut Creative Media created for Localsearch.
Onya John! was created to appear in a single TV commercial, but market response to the loveable Aussie battler was so strong that he kicked on to star in a whole series of TV ads, appeared on billboards and digital ads, and even starred in his own a cinema ad – Onya John! on the big screen!
John’s world has grown to include his tradie business rival, Crumby Carl, and even a *potential* love interest – local florist Onya Bon!

ABOUT: This Localsearch TVC celebrating Australia Day was produced – ready to air – by Cosmonaut in just seven days.
